My son right before the wedding! He was a little fussy because he wanted to see me.

Getting ready with my sisters and sister-in-law.

Before the ceremony.

My son with Uncle Jamie!

My sisters and sister-in-law.

My dad walking me down the aisle.

Getting married! My husband's mom is the pastor who married us. It was not a religious ceremony, though.

Exchanging rings!

Our cake! Red velvet with a beautiful black fondant.

With my stepmom. I have photos with my mom, too, but the photographer is still getting those ready.

My son with Grandpa!

My son ate all of his red velvet and pumpkin cakes, then he ate most of mine!

Hi, everyone, I'm back after a long hiatus. I know I've been deleted by some, but no hard feelings, I haven't been around. I got married on Friday, so I shouldn't be as busy as I have been over the past couple of months. I really hope you've all been doing okay, I care about you all and I haven't forgotten about any of you, it's just that I got so busy with planning, appointments, home life, and my son's therapy appointments. I'm also writing a new fantasy novel. I'm typing it up in manuscript format and am hoping to be published when I submit it. If not, I'll self publish. I won't give up, lol. My husband and I are going on our honeymoon in the springtime with our son in Chinatown. In a couple of years when our son is old enough, we will actually be visiting China. I'll make another update soon with candid photos from the wedding. It will take about a month for the professional photos from the photographer to arrive, so those will have to wait. I had the time of my life at my wedding, and it all turned out so perfectly. I'm really emotional and glad I get to be married to the love of my life. Just so you all know, I should be around more often from now on, now that the main event has already taken place. I hope you're all doing okay.

My mom's help yesterday evening was great. She literally brought multiple boxes filled with food for Zak, plus diapers, one of his favorite toys that he'd left at her house, and more clothes for him. She also brought me a locking file chest for me to keep all of my legal and sensitive documents inside. My mom helped me clean up and organize some things, so now my space is looking much better. She really went out of her way to help, and I appreciate it greatly.

Today at 3:15, Zak and I left to go to the other Walmart Supercenter for our 4 o'clock appointment time to pick up our photos from our family photoshoot. I ended up buying the entire package, including the CD with all of the proofs and outtakes. I think they all turned out lovely, and Zak looked so cute in all of his poses.

There are more, but I'll just include these four for now. My eyes are very Illuminati in the photo with all three of us, hahaha!

Zak is teething, which explains his "pickiness" with foods over the past several days. I've just been giving him soft foods like bananas and mashed potatoes with his milk and Pediasure. He didn't cry during his bath tonight, and he actually splashed a lot and played with his bath toys while I washed him. I let him play for awhile after I rinsed him. He's been in bed for almost two hours, but he's still in there talking and playing. Haha, so cute.

John came over last night to watch Sailor Moon with me and to have sex. He did the same thing tonight after he got back from his GOS job, but this time he brought me Chinese food to share with him (peanut butter chicken and fried rice). I don't usually eat junk food, but I made an exception tonight. It was certainly tasty. We had sex on the couch, then snuggled up and watched Sailor Moon. I can't wait to get through the whole series with him. I've seen all 200 episodes, but it's great going back through it. I think he will be floored once we get through Stars! I can't wait to see his reaction!

So, John told me he wants to move back in with me and Zak once we get moved back into my property (I'm currently renting it to his mom, who is about to buy her own house). I am thrilled. Afterall, it would be a strange thing to be married and living separately as he used to say he wanted to do after we get married. Looks like I'm getting everything I want. It feels good.

Our family dinner at Hokkaido was wonderful. I paid for it, of course. Before we left to go eat, I got Zak dressed up in one of his Batman logo long-sleeved tees, then John, Zak, and I all packed up in my SUV and got on our way to yummy-wummy Hokkaido. John ordered the spicy maki dinner with miso soup as he usually does, and I ordered my usual spicy yellowtail rolls and scorpion rolls (crab) with a honeydew bubble tea. We picked an appetizer for Zak which had a lot of delicious chicken and sauce that I cut up and fed to him. Of course, I gave him more to eat later. The meal was great, and I even ordered a dessert-- an orange creme cake with chocolate sauce drizzled over it all. Such a sweet treat.

After that, we went to pick up John's car so we could all meet up at his house. Zak and I watched him play Dark Souls III for awhile before Zak and I had to head back home to get him ready for bed. I got him changed into his sleeper pajamas and into a fresh diaper before giving him his last bottle of strawberry milk for the night. He fell asleep with Cody the Bear not too long after he drank his bottle.

John is coming to grocery shop with us tomorrow sometime. He's taking the day off tomorrow since he wants to stay up all night playing Dark Souls III with his friend tonight.

There's a spell kit and a couple of other items I've been meaning to order, but I will probably wait since I'm trying to save more of my money this month. I really overspent last month and I'm having to deal with that now. Although I have more than enough, I'd rather have a lot saved up than to continuously spend, spend, spend. I just paid a big bill, so, yeah. I've got to cut back on my shopping.

This was before his bedtime when the movie was almost over. He loves Harry Potter, but he also loves the camera. He's in his crib now babbling just as much. I can't wait until he starts talking more. He already says a few words, and he said "mommy" for the first time a few nights ago, which melted my heart. I'll update more later, I'm kind of in the middle of some things and I'm about to have sex with my fiancee.

First things first, here is my Christmas tree. I haven't finished wrapping my boyfriend's presents, but here you can see all four (eleven, technically) of the presents I wrapped for my son underneath the tree. I'm certainly in the mood for decking my halls with holly, haha. There are also two brand new Santa dolls I bought to put on display for this whole month to help me stay festive and as something fun for my son to look at.

I took a very long road trip on Saturday with my son and my mom to meet up with my sister and my brother-in-law at the high school she teaches choir and show choir at to attend their Christmas concert. Zak slept for most of the way, and my mom and I listened to the Barbra Streisand Christmas album I bought for her as a surprise.

To sum things up, the show was really good, it really put me in the Christmas spirit, and my son enjoyed the music and theatrics so much that it made him hyper and playful, to the point that I had to leave the auditorium several times because he got rambunctious and loud. It was so cute though, and many members from several of the choirs who were standing by the stairs or out in the school hallways told me how cute they thought he was. He also had a visit from a man dressed up as Santa Claus, and that calmed him down for a few minutes because it made him curious. He doesn't understand Santa Claus yet or anything else about Christmas, but he will eventually. He's getting tons of presents this year for his very first Christmas, and he deserves them. Anyway, after the show was over, we all met up at my sister's office and I gave her an Idina Menzel Holiday album as a surprise gift. We then went to a barbeque restaurant where I had the best teriyaki chicken and rice in my life, and I fed Zak some fruit and fruit juice to tide him over until it was time for a bottle of milk. Then, my sister invited us to visit with her and my brother-in-law at their nice apartment for a while before we got back on the road to head back to our homes. Zak played the mini bongos for a bit before he got bored and crawled away to do something else. Haha.

My son is my life. He truly is my whole world. :-)

I have Muay Thai in just a little bit, so I can only take this time to write as quickly as possible. To update, I just finished decorating my baby white Spruce Christmas tree with purple and blue lights, and beautiful, glittering blue and silver ornaments. There were several that I bought at the store this morning to go on my tree, some Batman-themed, and one is just a random (but pretty) giraffe in a suit. Of course I have a star on top of my tree, but it's actually more like a star burst, and it's lovely. I'll take some pictures and post them here a bit later, but I don't have time to right now. I also did a bit more Christmas shopping for my son this morning. I picked out some brand new Mega Bloks for his age group since he seems to love those so much on Wednesday play days. I also got him an alphabet floor mat puzzle. Plus, all of the Harry Potter blu-Rays arrived in the mail today, so he'll be getting the first two movies and any other movie I decide to pick for him.

I'll update again later and actually talk about a few things that have been on my mind, but as far as NaNoWriMo goes, I'm still glad to be a winner, and I'm trying to get everything formatted correctly for FastPencil's services. I'll start revising my novel in a couple of days. Just going back and re-reading, I can see where there is much room for improvement, and also that I made a few mistakes sometimes with tense and spelling (probably because I was rushing to finish). Everyone makes mistakes and I'm not going to beat myself up over it.

Okay, I've gotta go. Muay Thai starts in a few minutes and I've got a lot of punches and kicks to throw. :-)

Alright, so it's over, I made it. I completed NaNoWriMo and I'm officially a winner! My novel is called Glamour Tricks, and in just 29 days I came in clean at 50,229 words. Needless to say, I feel very excited and pretty accomplished. Even though I reached the end of my novel, I still felt that there was more of the story to be told, so after I make my revisions, I plan on writing a follow-up novel. Believe it or not, I've already got people who are excited to read my novel, mostly family and my boyfriend, but I'm seriously honored that they've been so supportive of me this whole time.

Now that NaNoWriMo is over, I can focus on getting ready to Christmas shop majorly for everyone, especially my son. Speaking of, I just took advantage of a great deal this morning and bought all 8 of the Harry Potter movies on blu-Ray for just $35 bucks, and I intend to give Zak the first two movies for Christmas along with everything else I'm getting for him.

I celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday with my son, my boyfriend, and the rest of my family. Overall, our celebration was fantastic, and a highlight of my evening was my son saying his first word, "Yay!" while clapping. That was something that I initially started doing a few weeks back, I would clap and say, "Yay!" or "Yay, Zak!" So I suppose my sweet son picked up on it! It was very obvious and very cute to hear and see him say that.

I bought my son two new pairs of shoes today from Babies 'R Us. One pair is a really cute but functional pair of snow boots. Since he's almost walking, I'm sure these will come in handy when the snow is actually on the ground next year, but I'll be sure not to let him walk in the snow without holding my hand.

As for NaNoWriMo, my word count has reached 14,303 in just 10 days. I know I could be doing a little bit better if I could find even more free time, but I'm still pretty proud of my progress, and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on the synopsis of my novel from my family and my boyfriend. I'm just so excited to be writing this much. Something I've always wanted to do I'm finally doing. All my time in college as an English and Creative Writing major may finally pay off through writing my first draft of this novel. NaNoWriMo is amazing. I'm pretty motivated to keep writing everyday, and I know I can reach my goal.

Tomorrow, I'm spending some special time with my son and treating him to a few things. I love my baby so much! I'm so lucky to have become pregnant with him! My little angel.

Good night.

John, my mom, my son Zak, and I, decided to celebrate Halloween together at my mom's big house. The road trip there was interesting, as John was operating on just a few hours of sleep, and I was so alert time seemed to be moving faster. It was raining and the roads were slick, so I had to drive extra carefully, but I have a really nice SUV and 4WD, so we were safe. I got teary about seven minutes before we arrived at my mom's, and I actually did cry a lot, just remembering everything I had to go through after I gave birth to my son in the hospital and how they tried to tear my family apart. I calmed down once we all got inside, and my mom gave me a hug and was like, "It's okay, Heather, your son is fine." John and I immediately got Zak dressed in the costume I bought for him, a ninja costume. Oh my goodness, did he look adorable!

I put my costume on, too (I was a devil with red wings and horns).

My son's favorite movie is August Rush, and for a 9-month-old, he really seems like a grown up when he watches, firstly because of how attentive he is and next because of his responses to the movie. He smiles, laughs, stares, and claps. We've not seen him pay attention to any other movie or show as much as he does this. It's really the cutest thing.

After the movie was over and we watched it in Spanish for a while, we grown-ups had some candy and watched "Angel Boy," an episode of Tim and Eric's Bedtime Stories that we all found hilarious and ridiculous. My mom ordered pizza and wings from Papa John's while John and I continued watching episodes of Bedtime Stories. Zak crawled around and stood up and played in his play pen, looking so darn cute. Finally, the pizza arrived and we grown-ups chowed down and enjoyed candy and Dr. Pepper for dessert. We only had one trick-or-treater, a nine-year-old girl who was dressed as a ninja, too. My mom's house is the biggest in her neighborhood, so it may be intimidating.

John logged in to my Netflix account on the blu-Ray player and selected Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow for all of us to watch as Zak rested. It was pretty nice being able to watch it again, since it had been quite a few years since I'd seen it. After a while, Zak woke up, so I decided I'd feed him dinner and let him have his Halloween treats. First, I gave him a bottle of organic mango juice, which he guzzled down quickly in delight, then I let him have some cereal with mango juice mixed in. Yogurt was his final treat, and he liked that as well. I let him finish up the bottle of mango juice, then he sat between me and John on the couch and watched the rest of the movie with us.

I had a lot of fun yesterday, but more importantly, my son did, too, and he got to enjoy some new things and dress up for his first Halloween! I'd say it went well. My son is a little angel and I love him more than anything else in this world! It was so cute to see how happy he got when he first tasted the mango juice. He got a little hyper! So cute.

I'm participating in NaNoWriMo this year and I've already got something good that I've been typing. I'll give more updates on my story when the time is right. This is something I'm really excited about and it's my goal to complete writing the crux of my novel by the end of the month.
