A Sweet Future Lies Ahead
Our family dinner at Hokkaido was wonderful. I paid for it, of course. Before we left to go eat, I got Zak dressed up in one of his Batman logo long-sleeved tees, then John, Zak, and I all packed up in my SUV and got on our way to yummy-wummy Hokkaido. John ordered the spicy maki dinner with miso soup as he usually does, and I ordered my usual spicy yellowtail rolls and scorpion rolls (crab) with a honeydew bubble tea. We picked an appetizer for Zak which had a lot of delicious chicken and sauce that I cut up and fed to him. Of course, I gave him more to eat later. The meal was great, and I even ordered a dessert-- an orange creme cake with chocolate sauce drizzled over it all. Such a sweet treat.

After that, we went to pick up John's car so we could all meet up at his house. Zak and I watched him play Dark Souls III for awhile before Zak and I had to head back home to get him ready for bed. I got him changed into his sleeper pajamas and into a fresh diaper before giving him his last bottle of strawberry milk for the night. He fell asleep with Cody the Bear not too long after he drank his bottle.

John is coming to grocery shop with us tomorrow sometime. He's taking the day off tomorrow since he wants to stay up all night playing Dark Souls III with his friend tonight.

There's a spell kit and a couple of other items I've been meaning to order, but I will probably wait since I'm trying to save more of my money this month. I really overspent last month and I'm having to deal with that now. Although I have more than enough, I'd rather have a lot saved up than to continuously spend, spend, spend. I just paid a big bill, so, yeah. I've got to cut back on my shopping.

They were! :-) Any time I get the opportunity to have bubble tea, I go for it. I hardly ever have sweets or desserts, but last night I made an exception and it was so good! :-)

Who's performing the concert?

Oh, wow. I would go for Chevelle, Marilyn Manson, Gojira, Rammstein, and Disturbed. I've listened to Bullet for My Valentine before, they're pretty good. I hope you can figure something out, it seems like something you wouldn't want to miss!

Aww, Batman t-shirt!! I wanted a boy really bad for all of the cool clothes boys have. I am of course happy with my little girl, though. Your dinner sounded amazing!! I haven't found the courage to take my daughter out yet because she's an energetic ball of craziness who doesn't like sitting at tables, haha. Hopefully someday soon, she'll start mellowing out a little. Orange creme cake with chocolate sauce sounds like the most delicious thing ever made, and I am jealous.

I had a friend tell me recently that I should try bubble tea since I haven't. It seems that those of you who drink it love it.

Dark Souls III, oooh. I am terrible at those games and I respect the people who can play them. They are incredibly hard.

I hear you on the money. I've been spending too much recently. It's so hard to disciplined with money sometimes!

He really does have adorable clothing. Any time I'm in Babies 'R Us, Carter's, or Target, I buy a ton of new clothes for him because everything's so damn cute. Zak's very energetic, too, usually he's all over the place, but for some reason when we go out to eat, he sits still. Although, last night he started twisting back and forth in his high chair and playing in the sauce, haha.

The cake was good, I might copy their recipe and make it at home, haha. Bubble tea is so good, I think you should try it. It's my favorite type of drink.

I've played one of the Souls games (I was 9 months pregnant at the time), but I didn't get very far. They are really hard games, but I like to watch my fiancee play them. He beats everything, it's awesome.

I hate when I overspend, it makes me feel like a failure, haha. I'm trying to save more and more, but I tend to see something I like and then I go overboard and buy a lot more than I planned. I guess it's my goal this year to spend less and save more.

That is exactly me with Bloodborne: I tried it and was so terrible at it, I didn't get far! But I love watching the Souls games; a lot of my friends on twitch stream them!

I'm doing really great with saving more, spending less this year. It's just that this month I haven't been doing too well!

I can relate regarding wanting to save. Even though I'm in a good position financially, I rather try to save as much as possible, without spending too much if I can help it. I like to consider myself "conservative".

You're probably a better saver than I am. It takes a huge effort for me not to shop, but when I do, I usually spend close to $200 at each store. I have a lot of money, but it's such a bad habit to just spend it. I have a savings account for my son that I deposit money into each month, and besides that, I have several large bills to pay each month including mortgage and my car note, so I really ought not to shop for clothing or "fun stuff" so freely when I have other things to be concerned about that are more important.
